Let me tell you something unexplainable.
It's long, but hold on.
We discovered that there was a problem with the Lion King's kidney via an echo.
The reason why he had an echo,
was that for the past period, his blood values (creatinina, uricemia and azotemia) had been constantly going up.
'Nothing alarming', according to his GP.
'Just drink more water', said the diabetologist.
But we went to see a kidney-specialist anyway.
She said his kidneys were working for 54% and had to run some more bloodwork.
But, just to exclude problems caused by other organs, he had to do an echo.
Just a formality.
Instead the echo showed that there actually is a problem.
Anyway.
For the past 2 years, he's been taking semaglutide, in the US sold under the name Ozempic.
'The wonder medecine for weightloss'.
It had to help him with diabetes and to lose weight.
It did neither.
No effect at all.
I found out that a couple of months after he started taking semaglutide,
his values started to go up (which is not good) and his kidney functionality went down.
The more time went on, the faster it deteriorated.
A couple of days before the CT-scan, his kidney functionality had gone down to 45% and the blood values were higher than ever before.
He decided without consulting his doctor to stop taking the medicine.
10 days after the CT-scan
his blood values,
which had been going up consistently for the past two years,
were entirely back to normal.
And his kidneys function for 60% again.
Now kidney damage is irreparable.
You can't go from 45% to 60%.
So that means the Ozempic was giving false positives (or negatives, call it what you want).
BUT
had this not happened,
we would have had no reason to do an echo
and we would never have known about the tumor until it was far too late,
because kidney cancer has no symptoms until in a very advanced stage.
How can you explain this?
Coincidence??????
Divine intervention?
(That is, if he can be cured.
If he can't be cured, it's a divine 'fuck you'.)
But unexplainable still.
